Business description

Prime Engineering Projects is a leading electrical engineering contractor in the UAE market. The company's expertise spans civil construction, transformer substation installation, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works. The business is focused on serving the public sector and large corporate clients.

Challenge and objectives

The project was delivered in close partnership with our colleagues at Whale Studio. The Whale team handled art direction, copywriting, and the preparation of presentation materials, while we took ownership of web design and development.

The client came to us with a familiar pain point: their existing WordPress site was visually outdated and cumbersome to maintain. Our primary objective was to solve that problem and deliver a scalable, user-friendly product — one that would make content management and expertise showcase effortless for the client's team.

The first challenge was visual communication: we needed to design an interface that made complex engineering concepts immediately legible to the audience, with a look and feel that was both predictable and appropriate for the industry. The second challenge was operational: the project was overseen on the client side by a C-level executive with an extremely tight schedule. At every stage of delivery, we had to bring well-considered, precise solutions — and get it right the first time.

Concept and work process

For the visual concept, we leaned into a familiar grid structure and a deep corporate blue palette. Electrical engineering is a high-stakes field, and the interface needed to convey predictability, reliability, and trust.

We made a deliberate decision to forego animations: in B2B and B2G contexts, visitors come to read facts. Our primary design goal was therefore to ensure the content — prepared by our partners — was as readable and clear as possible. For ease of ongoing maintenance, we chose to build the landing page entirely with Webflow's native components, without any custom code.

We thought through the CMS logic down to the finest detail: the projects section, as well as the partner logo feed, are managed through a clean, intuitive admin panel. We added descriptive comments to every CMS field to lower the barrier to entry and prevent errors when creating new entries. Upon project completion, we put together a comprehensive manual that allows any team member — regardless of department — to navigate the tool confidently within ten minutes.

Results

The outcome of our work is complete autonomy for the client's team and flawless site optimization. Thanks to clean code, we achieved PageSpeed Insights performance scores of 96 on desktop and 86 on mobile.

In the long run, this directly reduces business costs. Optimized page load speeds drive a steady stream of organic traffic, reducing reliance on paid channels. Equally important, we cut down on ongoing support costs: the in-house team now independently publishes tender wins and updates copy, eliminating the need to pay developer hours for every content edit.
